Chuck Wicks has taken to CMT‘s blog to update fans on the latest happenings in his world. Check out his latest post…
Every week I find myself in a different city or town playing the new record and making new friends. This week in particular will stand out as one of the best! I started out in Scranton, Pa., for an acoustic show where my acoustic guitar didn’t make it on the flight out! It was looking like I was going to do my first all-a capella show ever … lol. But, Continental Airlines was great in finding the guitar and delivering it straight to the show just in time — about 20 minutes before I was supposed to go on. :) Great show and a great town!
The next day we were scheduled to play the “Bottle & Cork” in Dewey Beach, Del. Now, this is no ordinary bar. This is the same bar where my dad told me he and his friends would drink way too much, and God knows probably met my mother! Ha ha. I don’t want to think about it! Needless to say my dad made the trip out for this show along with a lot of my friends and family! It was fun to see the fam partying it up with the locals and fans that came out for the show! I got a feeling we’ll be back to play next year!
We had the day off the next day so I decided to just stay at the beach and let the band chill out for a bit. A bunch of us went jet skiing where 5 minutes in we got in trouble for riding too close and almost killing each other. Besides that … it was a blast! Spent some time with the fam and friends and headed out that night for Altamonte, N.Y.
The Altamonte show was crazy! We had 30,000 people that started drinking around 9 a.m. A fight actually broke out in the middle of “Stealing Cinderella,” which apparently had an entirely different meaning to them! Ha! It was actually a pretty good fight. ;) It was good to see Blake Shelton, who was the headliner, out in Altamonte. He’s probably one of the funniest guys I know. Good dude, and soon to have a great wife!
Keep requesting “Hold That Thought”! We continue to climb the charts but you help make that happen! Keep voting on CMT.com for the video!
Until Next Week!
Chuck

OK! Magazine recently caught up with a handful of country music stars to have them weigh in on a question that is on every Twilight fan’s mind this week…Team Edward or Team Jacob?
Here’s what they had to say….
Julianne Hough: “I’m in love with Edward.”
Martina McBride: “Well, Edward’s really cute, but I think he’s very romantic, but I think probably Jacob is a healthier relationship. He seems to care. He’s not as obsessive. It’s a little more well-rounded.”
Laura Bell Bundy: “I’m Team Edward for sure. I think he’s a stunning man, and I like to watch his face.”
Gloriana‘s Cheyenne Kimball: “I’m totally Team Edward. I used to read the books when I was 17, and I wanted so badly to meet a vampire named Edward and fall in love.”
Chuck Wicks: “I’m Team Leah Clearwater. Julia Jones. Because she’s in my video, my brand-new video Hold That Thought. She’s a great person, she’s part of the Wolfpack. She’s going to be in Twilight. Now that I kind of know her, we made out in my video, I gotta support her.”
According to OK!, Kellie Pickler, Miranda Lambert, Gloriana’s Rachel Reinart and Uncle Kracker have never seen the films, so they didn’t comment on the debate.
Are you a Twilight fan? Whose team are you on?
