Carrie Underwood Finds Marriage No Different Than Dating

Carrie Underwood covers the October issue of Women’s Health magazine and inside the pages you’ll get an interview with the country superstar about her marriage, her routine when she’s off the road, and what she thinks is her best physical asset.

When it comes to her two month marriage to NHL player Mike Fisher, Carrie says (via People magazine) “a lot like dating… Sometimes our schedules will click, sometimes they won’t. But that’s good because we’re both independent.”  When their schedules do match up and Carrie gets to spend time in Canada with Mike, she takes pride in standing by her man.  She says “I love going to games, cheering for my man. When I come home, I’m accused of picking up the [Canadian] accent.”

As for her off-the-road schedule, things stay pretty low-key for Carrie.  “I’d sleep in a little, work out, do laundry, run errands, buy presents for people with birthdays coming up,” she says. “I like it when I don’t have to be anywhere, and anything to do is my choice.”

When it comes to her body, Carrie agrees with what the rest of us already know: “I think my legs are my best asset,” admitted Carrie.

The October issue of Women’s Health is on stands now.

Reba Reveals ‘All The Women I Am’ Album Artwork

Reba fans got their first look at the cover art for the superstar’s upcoming album, All The Women I Am, today. The artwork was revealed exclusively by USA Today in this morning’s Lifeline column.

Reba’s 34th career studio album will also include her popular cover of Beyonce’s hit, “If I Were A Boy,” which became a viral sensation when she first performed the song on CMT Unplugged earlier this year.

All The Women I Am marks Reba’s first project with award-winning producer Dann Huff who has also worked with Carrie Underwood, Keith Urban, and Rascal Flatts.

“It is so good to be back in the studio with Dann Huff,” says Reba. “He has played guitar on so many of my albums and I was thrilled when he said yes to producing this CD with me. He’s a very talented, creative and fun person to work with.”

All The Women I Am will be the superstar’s second album for The Valory Music Co. The new album also includes Reba’s latest smash hit, “Turn On the Radio.” The modern day kiss-off anthem is already a Top 25 hit on both Billboard’s Top Country Songs Chart and the Country Aircheck/ USA Today (powered by Mediabase) chart.

Carrie Underwood Proud Of Her Debut Movie Role

(Carrie Underwood on the set of Soul Surfer)

Carrie Underwood thought she’d walk away from her first movie experience vowing to stick to her day job.

But after a recent screening of the upcoming movie “Soul Surfer,” Underwood found she wasn’t as bad as she thought she’d be.

“I really liked how everything turned out, including myself,” Underwood said in an interview Tuesday. “I was really expecting the worst from myself, and I really surprised myself.”

The Grammy-winning country superstar plays a youth counselor in the film, which is based on the story of Bethany Hamilton, who lost her arm in a shark attack.

“It’s definitely an uplifting movie,” said Underwood. “Everybody would definitely feel a lot better coming out than they did coming in.”

Although she gives herself good marks for her work on the film, Underwood said she’s not ready to carry a movie just yet.

“There are people that are absolutely amazing actors and actresses, and I am not one of those, though who’s to say one day; you never know, maybe I will be,” she said. “But I’m definitely new at this and just doing what’s fun right now, and I love my music; that’s my first love.”

Carrie will stick to her first love – at least for now – as her “Play On” tour continues later this month.

Carrie Underwood Named Olay’s First-Ever North American Celebrity Ambassador

It was announced this morning via live webcast that Carrie Underwood is the new ambassador for Olay.  The 27-year-old, Grammy award-winning artist amplifies a positive message for a new generation of women to challenge their own skin’s possibilities with the latest advances in skincare from Olay as part of the brand’s “Challenge What’s Possible” campaign. In her new role with Olay, Carrie will also represent a line of skincare products for the brand. The campaign is scheduled to debut in early 2011.

“We are thrilled that someone as inspirational as Carrie has joined Olay,” said Joe Arcuri, Vice President for North America, Procter & Gamble Beauty. “Carrie epitomizes Olay’s mission to challenge possibilities and encourage a new generation of women to learn about skincare and make a noticeable impact on their skin’s appearance.”

“With her genuine beauty and girl-next-door likeability, Carrie is a natural fit and wonderful addition to the Olay family,” said Will Chung, Olay Business Manager for Canada. “Through all her success, Carrie remains grounded and connects with women everywhere using her powerful voice. She personifies the iconic image of the brand while representing the faces of the future.”

“I am so excited to be associated with a beauty brand that has been trusted by women for more than 50 years,” Carrie said. “As a little girl I remember my mom always using the original Oil of Olay Beauty Fluid and encouraging my sisters and I to take care of our skin. I love that Olay has managed to change with the times, yet stay in touch with women of all ages who want affordable skincare products that do what they promise. My music career has been a dream come true and proven to me that the seemingly impossible can be achieved. Olay’s inspiring campaign echoes my beliefs and feels deeply personal to me.”

Olay is also a proud sponsor of Carrie’s “Play On Tour” this fall with shows in cities throughout the U.S. and Canada from September to December 2010.

Carrie Underwood Spotted In NYC

Most likely related to her press conference today, Carrie Underwood was spotted in NYC yesterday afternoon after a photoshoot.  While posting the above pictures, GossipCenter.com said…

Having been enjoying a little time off following a whirlwind summer in which she tied the knot with NHL player Mike Fisher, Carrie Underwood was spotted tending to midday work duties in New York City on Tuesday afternoon (September 7).

Donning a black Blondie t-shirt with black sweats and striped sweater and flip-flops, the “Before He Cheats” singer looked casual cute as she was accompanied by a few mates while leaving a photo shoot session in the West Village.
